Series Overview

APOLOGETICS 101:

What is truth, can we claim to know it?

SEPT 11:: TRUTH   Our young men and women are encountering a culture in which their faith is not just being questioned, but is increasingly under attack. We will begin this series by equipping them to handle challenges they will soon face by understanding the central issue of our time -- What is truth, and can we claim to know it?

SEPT 18:: MORALITY  Relativism has become the lens through which our culture measures moral truth and value -- yet relativism is a cancer to a Christian view of the world. We will give our students the tools to recognize moral relativism when they encounter it, and show them the devastating consequences that come with accepting it.

SEPT 25:: SCIENCE/FAITH  Science, we are told, has not only "disproved God," but has the power to answer every question we can ever ask. But what is science? Does it undermine or complement our faith? This session will arm our students with a God-honoring framework they can use to evaluate any scientific claim. They will come away knowing they can respect science but not have to check their brain at the church door to do so.

OCT 2:: BIBLE   How do we know if we have an accurate copy of the Bible? And even if we do, how could we possible know if it's telling us the truth?  Using a practical, easy-to-understand, hands-on approach, our students will gain confidence in their ability to articulate why they can trust the words of Scripture.
